On 16 March 1945 the Würzburg Residenz was almost completely destroyed in an air raid. The reconstruction was a mammoth project, which is now - 75 years after the destruction - presented in a multimedia documentation room.

The Bavarian Palace Department commissioned the Würzburg agency Eydos with the conception, design and project management of the exhibition. Eydos brought Realtime Visions on board for the technical conception and implementation of the media technology.

In a multimedia presentation, which cleverly combines texts, photographs and film sequences with real objects, visitors can experience the lengthy restoration of the Residence Palace at first hand.

RECREATING THE PAST WITH MODERN MEDIA
A STRONG PARTNER

Realtime Visions acted as technical advisor and partner to Eydos, implemented the animation sequences and took over the programming as well as the final commissioning of the media technology.

The result: a modern, interactive room that documents the gradual reconstruction of the Residence Palace in a special way by combining historical material and modern media.
